Never been to Florida, but I’m glad to call Texas my home as well. Wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Weather wise - I prefer N Florida by a mile...although we have more interesting weather. People wise, Texas. Pols suck in both.

When we retire I'm moving back to North Carolina and 4 seasons.

NC is a beautiful state. I don’t blame you.

The front came through earlier than expected. DP of 40°F. LFG!

Wednesday is the only "hot" day next week...some models see a cool down after that and no lows of 60°F or above. Fingers crossed.

East Tennessee and North Carolina are great. I miss my parents living in Kingsport, but Longview is pretty and charming at times.

In 2026, all pols suck. Do you want collectivist losers or nationalists? No thanks.

The absence of new or effective leadership across the board. Our son is having a time finding employment in the current market with a fresh PhD due to the chaos. In Engineering and not English or Sociology! At least SCOTUS accidentally read Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution this morning. I'll take a broken clock win. Unfortunately, NWS has suffered in the past year. Hopefully, we get enough El Niño this summer to shear any TS, but not enough to repeat the Summer of 2023. We need to be prepared just in case.

That's a beautiful area around Kingsport. I'm thinking near Wake Forest (university - not the town and original location of WFU) with access to mountains, beach, Research Triangle....like driving to Houston, Austin, San Antonio from here. Mt. Airy and Pilot Mountain aren't far away from a location window in mind.

Thanks Andrew!

We hit 39°F last night...and I'm expecting near freezing temps tonight IMFY. DP of 24°F and light winds conducive for convection.

North and even central Florida are looking at some freezes Tuesday and Wednesday pre-dawn.

Crazy how your location gets so much colder than the official reading. I had 37°F here.

Some wind advisories might need to be issued for Wednesday. Could see some gusts over 40mph.
