I wouldn’t give up on next weekends storm yet, especially areas south of 10. It’s not that far off and still 6 days away.

A few iced bridges remain in NW Harris County.

Use extreme caution if traveling tonight into Monday morning north and west of the metro area and caution elsewhere where any remaining moisture may refreeze

Until temperatures warm on Tuesday power outages and falling trees will remain possible along with dangerous travel in areas that saw heavy ice accumulation around Lake Livingston to Crockett.

Temperatures have started to fall over the region…several areas already at hard freeze levels.

Make sure pipes are protected tonight.

Welp, little energy rolling over S Oklahoma, aka DFW area. Small returns out toward SA that probably won’t make it here.

Anyways, the cold is brutal and going to be catastrophic to vegetation, etc. Hope people prepared for it.

Just imagine what could have been

It’s so hard for everything to come together perfectly down here.

Too bad we don’t have some surprise disturbance coming outta Mexico right now. Would be perfect timing for it.

Super light flurries coming down off and on in Klein. Nothing measurable but cool none the less.

I was assuming it was associated with the disturbance that moved across the state and brought light snow to central and north and west texas as well yesterday during the day
