It’s below freezing through all of metro Austin now. Sitting at 39.6 over here, tracking pretty close to target for my bet - hehe.

It’s gonna get interesting, fast, once the sun goes down.

Was supposed to be at 48 at 5pm for Bmt. It’s 12:45pm and now 39. So the cold air seems to be filtering in much faster! Still think we will see a few surprises in areas that weren’t forecasted to get much! 🙋🏻🙋🏻🙋🏻

Just curious..a winter storm warning was just issued for inland brazoria cnty...down to angleton..he'll why not just go ahead and just finish it for the entire cnty..its not that far maybe 15 miles to the coast..is it that sharp of a cut off to not just put the entire cnty under the warning?

I said it yesterday and still believe this - Montgomery and Grimes counties should be included in the Ice Storm Warning.

They are doing the same to me in Jefferson county. Only northern Jefferson county. I’m like just highlight the entire county. The coast is like 20 miles away. Smh

I’m ready for the main event tonight. Norman is forecasting an additional 3-4 inches on top of what we already have accumulated.

Ya, its irritating how they do it..hell the coastal bend down near Victoria has warning all the way to the coast lol

It’s because the cold air further west is deeper/sooner and will overlap the precipitation longer. It’s already freezing in San Antonio metro. That’s why.

HRRR keeps it mainly sleet in the houston metro, not much ice, out west and north looks ugly though, still pretty optimistic this wont be as bad as what social media says it going to be

Could be some nasty accumulations west of Highway 59 and N of 10.
