Models have a coastal low. So yeah, it would be widespread.

To soon to say, but i can say this cold pattern is going absolutely no where once the arctic front moves in, in fact the GFS keeps us well below normal through the end of the first week of february, and even then its already showing another big - EPO ridge and strong greeland blocking, this pattern is going to favor multiple more opportunities across the state

The freezing line runs from Bridgeport to Ranger.

Keep in mind it started in the Texas Panhandle this morning and this has all been during the daytime.

I don’t think we’ll know too much till about Monday regarding next weekends system. My gut is telling me yes to your question though.

Backside means biz

Drops a 2-3 inch sleet/snow band over Brazoria, Ft Bend and Southern Harris. A 1.5 inch band out by me.
A couple of sleet machine bands on the back side.

Leading edge of the arctic front seems to be just north of Austin, but the actual really cold air is still up in north texas

So with the front already ahead of schedule and colder, shouldn’t the forecast for tomorrow change as well? Wouldn’t it stand to reason the models are wrong and are still reflecting some sort of bias? Is it reasonable to expect that the 6 PM timing we were given for Harris Co. be a little sooner?
