Going back 4,500 years, Texas has been hit by hurricanes. Some areas are hit more by hurricanes than other areas in the past. Texas had more hurricane landfalls when the Pharoahs ruled Ancient Egypt. Hurricane Carla like storms have hit Texas 24 times going back 4,500 years. Florida gets hit by more hurricanes when there is less landfall on Texas or Puerto Rico.
