Went outside about 30 mins ago to fertilize a few hanging plants.
Came inside — Outflow spitting out, watching to see if it spoils it.

1.73 in of rain last night. 2.59 in altogether at the casa. 3.0 inches at the airport.
The first measurable rain we've received since September 1. 60s and a light NE breeze now. I approve of this weather.
First legit FROPA arrives Tuesday evening. A mostly dry but more potent one. A few scattered showers are progged, probably near the coast.

.KEY MESSAGES...
- Light to occasionally moderate showers will continue through the
early morning hours on Sunday, but the severe weather/heavy
rainfall threat is now over.
- Strong cold front pushes through the region Tuesday night,
bringing much cooler temperatures and strong coastal / offshore
winds in its wake.
- Mariners be advised of hazardous marine conditions through early
Sunday morning, and again behind the cold front Tuesday night -
Wednesday night.

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 116 AM CDT Sun Oct 26 2025
As of 1am, the line of strong thunderstorms we have been tracking
over the past several hours has exited off the coast - thus ending
the severe weather and heavy rainfall threat. Widespread light,
stratiform rainfall (and the occasional moderate shower) will
persist through the early morning hours along with overcast skies.
Mostly cloudy skies will likely stick around through the early
afternoon before we finally clear out this evening.
High temperatures this afternoon will rise into the upper 70s to
low 80s and overnight lows tonight down into the upper 50s to mid
60s. A gradual warm-up is expected Monday and Tuesday with highs
rising into the low to mid 80s for most of the area (even some
upper 80s in spots on Tuesday). But expect drastic changes
beginning Tuesday night.
A strong cold front is expected to pass through our area Tuesday
evening or Tuesday night ushering in fall like weather. Unlike the
past few cold front, which were weak and had a more Pacific-based
airmass behind it, this cold front will have an airmass dropping
down from Canada. Temperatures Tuesday night will ultimately be
decided on the exact timing of the FROPA, which we don`t know at
the moment. An early evening passage will allow for temperatures
to cool down into the mid 40s to mid 50s across the area, while a
later overnight FROPA will keep temperatures in the mid-50s to low
60s. Temperature forecast has higher confidence beginning
Wednesday as we will be well within the cooler airmass. Highs
Wednesday and Thursday will be in the mid to upper 60s north of
I-10, and then low 70s south of I-10. Overnight lows will be in
the low to mid 40s for much of the region with the Houston Metro
and coast staying in the low to mid 50s. Some spots in the Piney
Woods will be dropping even into the upper 30s Thursday night. A
slight warmup is expected on Friday, but overall this Halloween is
looking to be fairly fall-like.
In addition to ushering in colder temperatures, the cold front
will likely bring some scattered showers and thunderstorms with
its passage. Also, it will likely induce strong offshore winds
along the beaches and over the marine waters.
