I donated and am happy to do so. This site is a wonderful resource for weather enthusiasts in SE Texas.

Hey everyone, I wanted to say thank you for the support. The invoice for the next 6 months has been paid for and $265 has been donated just today. I am also looking at cheaper options for the website but it can be a tricky balance making sure we can still support the site during active weather events. Either way, thank you everyone who has donated!

By the way, what are the expenses, and who is the provider?

Thank you so much DoctorMu. My little town is all dressed up for the Fall Leaf Peepers! The Parkway is 4 miles from the house and I'm head up to Waterrock Knob tomorrow to check out the leaf change.

The Smokies going into the next month are heaven. I hope I can still afford to move back to NC when I retire. lol

The monthly expenses are $100.00. Andrew just paid $600.00 out of his and his young family's pocket to keep our Weather Community operational. I hope we can get enough help from our Members to reimburse Andrew and have sufficient funds to carry further well into next year. Prices have increased as we all know.

That reminds me. The citizens of College Stations brought the old pitchforks to a City Council meeting when there was a leak 5 days before a secret (handshake) vote to provide a license for a data mining for a Crypto/AI site in the new business district. The data mining site would literally have doubled CLL water use and electricity use! Utility bills here are already ridiculous. Water use in August was a crusher to keep grant, plants, trees alive and ensure the slab doesn't crack.

There's a lot of electronic trickle down inflation because every component is made overseas. The materials for parts made in the US are still made overseas. Lumber is double a year ago.

80 people spoke in opposition at the meeting and the citizens won this battle, but now our corrupt City Council is attempting to make a deal with another data mining company. All we can do is keep attending meetings and voting out the incumbents come election day! lol

DPs in the 60s for now. The forecast is for a light suck until this weekend where the trough could provide a few showers.
