What ENSO phase is predicted? Do we foresee another drought? Average rainfall? Above-average rainfall? Snow? (kidding)
I'll leave any tropical questions to the dedicated thread for that.

More than likely a bad drought with only 2-4” of rain over a 3 month period with temps 97-103°F every day.

So pretty much the same as it is ever summer here , stupid hot, big droughts and the occasional tropical system lol

Looks like it is trending away from La Nina. We had a hot summer in 2023 and was El Nino. Vice versa with 2011, which was La Nina.

Cpv17 we absolutely do not need anything close to 2011, hell we just to invent a skip summer button, not looking forward to the utter misery thats ahead

Fortunately this summer doesn’t look anything like 2011. This wet winter helped a lot. This summer looks to be a little warmer than normal and near normal precipitation per the CPC J/J/A summer seasonal outlook. Hopefully nothing extreme.

Hopefully your right, even though im back in katy now, last summer when i was still in college station, we had a 2 week period in which the high temperature was at or above 100 degrees , i would really like to not ever see that again lol
