The snow just started here in Santa Fe Brazoria. It’s been sleet all night.

Woke-up to a good solid 4-6” here (depending on where you measure). I consider that the jackpot considering the issues with that pesky warmer air aloft.
Edit: It's 4" on flat surfaces, 2-3" on the ground, higher along the fence beams.

If any you want photos, get them ASAP this morning. We will be rising above freezing. Then low temps for the night should reach the teens.
So it came down to a couple of inches for most. +/-. That is right where it was expected. Some got nothing. I'm truly sad for you. I'm usually one of those high and dry. It's not the 4 to 8 we all wanted, and this event will be short lived.
It is what it is and may not be again for a long time.

We didn't get a thing here as expected. My lawn is still 99% exposed. Will have to live vicariously through my dad's photos of my childhood home in Crosby where they got a lot.biggerbyte wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:40 am If any you want photos, get them ASAP this morning. It's too bad the coastal areas couldn't cash in. Models just don't handle Gulf lows and snow very well. Cold-core ULL features are a lot more straightforward. I think the folks here who have been along for the ride the last couple of weeks were warned to watch out for warm air issues that are not modeled well.
