Be happy with what you get. This whole event is beyond the norm, no matter the outcome. Quite frankly, this was expected per early forecasts. It is what it is.
Where are you?
Their profile says Montgomery County. I can get the “don’t want to be let down, believe it when I see it” but sheesh.. give the negative Nancy tactics a rest already.

Lousiana isnt going to steal nothing, everyone is going to get snow in se texas, considering how the driest short range models ( hrrr and Cams) failed miserably at seeing this precipitation breaking out, the atmosphere is getting more saturated across the entire area, id say the odds are pretty darn good that you’ll be waking up to a winter wonderland

Louisiana is going to get some healthy amounts but we are getting 3-6” of snow in most areas of SE Texas. This is progressing exactly as predicted so far?? Once it fills in and the air mass cools down and moisture rises with system it’s going to snow. Things look better now than they did 12 hours ago.
GFS going to score a coup over hi res, minus RGEM and FV3

S.E. Montgomery County. We are expecting a kitchen sink mix here. There is a chance of some accumulation. We will see about the numbers. It is truly down to nowcasting. The language we are seeing in the forecast is not what we were seeing just a day or two ago. Things are most definitely shifting still. I think folks will be more happy to climb the ladder instead of falling back down. There is no more room for hype.

I never said we are going to get nothing. What I said was the bigger totals have shifted into Louisiana. I have no.idea what the final outcome will be. We've been fooled before. No one has more to work with than what we see. "Negative Nancy" keeps it real. There is no sense in expecting snowmageddon around here.

I think things will really get going good here around 10:00, 10:30. Then its an all-nighter until mid morning.

❄️ Flurries started early in Beaumont. After midnight we should start seeing the huge flakes and the sky open up midnight onwards. If you haven’t seen anything yet, patience, its coming.

Yeah, this is looking to be a much bigger event for LA overall compared to Texas. We will still get our share though.
