Most of my colleagues are in other parts of the country, namely the east coast. This morning on our weekly call they told me to stretch before I started shoveling the snow. I said “shoveling?!” Lol

Lol the hrrr is going to be wrong, it already flopped big time on temperatures, good 4-5 degrees colder in reality compared to what hrrr has, we will see more widespread snow in land

This is turning into a huge bust if the HRRR is right.

From Travis
1:30PM MONDAY WINTER STORM UPDATE:

I wanted to get out a quick update on the timing of wintry precipitation. We believe LIGHT wintry precipitation will start over Southeast Texas between 3PM and 6PM. The heavy accumulating snow will likely begin over Houston between 9PM and midnight and continue to snow heavily through about 9AM. There may be a time early on in this window where there is a lot of sleet, but it’s looking more promising for a quicker changeover to snow at this time. The snow should end over Houston between 9AM and 12PM, and should clear the coast between 12PM and 3PM. It is impossible to say when roads will become impassable, so we continue to give the guidance to be where you need to be before the sun goes down if possible.

And let me stress again that this is predicted to be a MAJOR winter storm along I-10 from Houston to New Orleans on what's called the Winter Storm Severity Index. This means You may not be able to move around town much until Wednesday afternoon at the earliest, and it could be as late as Thursday afternoon for some. Travel at night the rest of this week could be hazardous and discouraged until the snow and ice melt from the roadways.

More to come. abc13.com/forecast

My son’s private school facility called me earlier to say that they got “new information” and will be staying open tomorrow. Did I miss something? I told her no we won’t be venturing out on to the roadways.
