50s and sunny. My kind of weather. Am going out to mow the lawn soon; then put down some pre-emergence.

snowman65 lol not how it works
There's a lot of luck with wintry mix and precip in SETX. I don't see the mid-level warm Pacific air like the last system. It's a different setup.
CLL and the Piney Woods have the bast chance of backside wintry precip. In Houston the cold may follow the precip. It's hard to have both at the same place and the same time.

We would need the air that is forecasted for the week of the 20th to originate from Siberia/Arctic air and it will need to be in place. Then have the system come in behind it with the cold air still in place then we’re in business. I think we would be looking at Freezing Rain setup which is much more dangerous.

Well that’s where the air is originating with a severely negative EPO.walsean1 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 2:13 pm We would need the air that is forecasted for the week of the 20th to originate from Siberia/Arctic air and it will need to be in place. As for the system, I won’t watch that until we are within 5 days but that map screams overrunning precip

Widespread snowstorm in se texas on the Euro day 9, 3-5 inches
While I ponder trimming the live oaks before the ice storm…today sure was beautiful. I think I lasted about 30 minutes in the sun before I was in my short sleeve T-shirt. Today was one of those beautiful days for sure.
