I see a big pattern change, gulf could open for buisness, Euro has low pressure forming off the texas coast at day 10
Hope so. Nearby home brew would be perfect. Not a lot of time to strengthen…..beneficial rains. Bring it. Nothing else. Where do I place my order? GFS also has a disturbance similar to the Euro fwiw
Plus the water temps along our area to Louisiana and out in the GOM are hot.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2024 2:01 pm I see a big pattern change, gulf could open for buisness, Euro has low pressure forming off the texas coast at day 10

GFS shows a wide open gulf with numerous disturbances bringing in tropical moisture over the course of the entire run
The rain missed me yesterday by less than a mile. The NW side of the neighborhood got a decent soaking but not a drop here, just lots of thunder and the smell of rain.
All of my moves seem to always happen in August. It's miserable trying to pack in this dogshit weather.
I’m seeing more and more signs that our pattern will change rather significantly for the last week of August. Stratton alluded to a few Gulf disturbances the GFS and EURO have tried to spin up along the upper Tx coast. While no model is entirely accurate this far out, most are suggesting a westward retreat of our pet heat dome, at least allowing for better rain chances, regardless of tropical development.
We're going to a wedding in NOLA on the weekend of September 6. That pretty much guarantees a tropical system bearing down on Louisiana and off the TX coast then.Pas_Bon wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 12:04 pm I’m seeing more and more signs that our pattern will change rather significantly for the last week of August. So we're stuck in the pattern until late next week?

For the next 4-5 days yes, but changes are coming, and that includes the possibility for homegrown tropical mischief in the gulf, heat ridge goes hasta la vista, we are wide open for tropical rains and maybe some mischief sliding this way
Need a little rain. The roaches are starting to fly at night (first time I've noticed them at all this summer)

Back from MT in time for some HS football this week and college the next. Saw Weimar dominated Van Vleck last night in a scrimmage and get to see Lexington come to town this week then I’m torching Doc Mu’s place of residence the weekend of the 30th!!
FYI, it’s much nicer up in MT, LOL.
