Hurricane Beryl
Just lost a big oak. Thank god it hit the fence and not the house. Neighbor just had a big tree fall in her front yard. We’re in Santa Fe. The wind is crazy!!’n
Trees and fences down over here. Lost power around 4am. Just waiting to get through this eye wall and back end to start up the generator

That little curved band by Rosenberg must be intense
7 am update says 980 pressure, 75 mph sustained winds, 100 gusts. Travis Herzog says that is in the NE eyewall approaching Hwy 6 and Missouri City.
It's been fierce the entire time here. Been just on the NE and now E periphery of the eye wall. Winds are insane. Lost lots of shingles. About to lose my gutters.

Yea I have to imagine there is going to be a lot of damage comparable to a Cat 2 for areas along and east of the eye. Friend had a gust of 104 in the Rosharon area.
I’m about to experience the eastern edge of it.

The Woodlands - heavy wind and rain. Was able to get sleep last night. Enjoying coffee before power goes out. Haven’t looked outside yet. And we haven’t seen the worst yet. It’ll sure be a Monday. Stay safe.

In Magnolia, lost power at 6:36 am. Pretty strong winds blowing through.
Lost power in Tomball around 6:45.
Been in the eyewall all morning. My roof is all over my lawn, fence has had it. Who knows what else.
Hey gang. Good morning, got some solid rest after a long day. Somehow I still have power.
I see Beryl is arcing more NE now. This played-out pretty much like I expected although I had expected Beryl to start winding-up a little sooner. That dry air was a killer and it was still very spread out. Other than that, couldn’t have called it any closer. Hope everyone is safe on the other side.

Is there a good app or website to see the current track on a map? I’d like to know where I am in relation to the storm and eye itself.
Sorry to hear about the destruction, damage, loss of power. 1M without power.. Surfside area was blasted and now the western suburbs of Houston.
As bad as this is, I can't imagine dealing with a major. This is enough.

ABC 13 studio lost power about 15 minutes ago and switched to generators. Briefly. Then their broadcast crashed and have gone to the national feed since.
Guess they didn't listen to Travis Herzog on the importance of properly maintaining their backup power system....

Have a question..does the eye have to completely make landfall for it to be official? Or just as long as any part of the eye hits land does it make it official?
