Definitely rain and probably TS winds.
Depending on how strong she gets ,could see hurricane winds.

The NHC discussion said that people should be preparing for a possible cat2.

Not fun. Hopefully we all make it through safely.

The storm itself will suck, but I’m especially dreading the long power outage. I was out of power for 2 weeks after Ike. Not looking forward to that with small children.

Further intensification is likely as Beryl moves over very warm
waters within light shear conditions. Rapid intensification is a
distinct possibility if the core can become isolated from the dry
air that has been inhibiting intensification during the last day or
so. While there are no changes to the intensity forecast based on
the latest guidance, we are expecting Beryl to be intensifying up
until landfall early Monday, and people should be preparing for the
possibility of a category 2 hurricane landfall.

What worries me is they always say expect 1 cat higher then what's predicted if conditions are favorable for intensifcation. So if NHC says Cat 2

Don’t think wind will be that bad in Humble in my honest opinion. If she gets to cat 2 then that could change though.

Saw many talking about a “sizable shift east” closer to Sargent. The track is still the same at 10am. Are they being cautious? If so, they are running out of time and I would hate for a sizable shift in the track at the very last minute.

Yep. Time. Over. Water. is today's key phrase.

From nearly "Naked Swirl" to CAT2+ in a day?

As hurricane aficionados and physics geeks have figured out: (a) increased strength means a more easterly path and (b) an easterly path means more time over water, IR, and a stronger storm.

TWC went to "bears in the woods" coverage or something last night...so Beryl may exact her revenge...???

Buckle up.

Hate this east shift. Went from getting 10+” to maybe getting 5” and less wind now too. Now Fort Bend County is going to get what I was supposed to get. Oh well, maybe I’ll get the chance to experience the eye of it and less of a cleanup afterwards.

I’d prefer it to keep tracking east in all honesty.. I’m prepared for the worst but don’t want to deal with it lol!

Just got ours - gotta love the wording -

Until further notice: Tropical Storm warning.

We had easterly winds in CLL since yesterday morning. Bands are visible on the Austin radar.

Given that tomorrow is a Monday, and kids should be off the roads tonight and tomorrow Texas A&M should cancel classes tomorrow and reboot on Tuesday. We'll see.

I have pulled all of my drivers of the road starting at 6pm tonight until Tuesday morning.
We deliver Nitrogen to A&M and I haven't heard anything yet about closures.

You're probably gonna be in the eyewall. Looks like Beryl may have a decent size eye.
