Good. The area that badly needs rain will get some. Hopefully it helps the hill country, but looks like the Valley is gonna get the most.
Nice little squall headed through Cypress area.
How many possible centers can you find?

I agree. Unless something drastically changes, this was a huge bust. Fortunately, we're quite saturated and don't need the rain.Cpv17 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 12:42 pmNot much need for a flood watch to be issued in Beaumont. Y’all probably aren’t going to get much there. Maybe 1-3”.
I’m sure at some point this summer, y’all will get another 20-30” rain event. Wouldn’t be the Golden Triangle without that.Goomba wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 1:39 pmI agree. Unless something drastically changes, this was a huge bust. Fortunately, we're quite saturated and don't need the rain.
Feeder band evaporated on arrival. The cell headed towards my house, anyway. Par for the course.
I’ll probably need to water my potted plants tonight, they’re already dry.
I feel like I just lied to a bunch of people all weekend.

When you get rain in the next few hours, you will say, "Hey, where did that come from."..LOLbrazoriatx wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 1:55 pmThat radar hasn't moved in 12 hrs lol stop teasing us!
I gave up and watered the lawn this morning. The seabreeze bands hit the wall before they reach Navasota. Same as it ever was.
Tomorrow could be better as the gyre moves west - we'll see.
Beach closed at Surfside. Water should begin approaching blue water hwy later this afternoon or evening.Scott747 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 12:22 pm The broad low is finally slowly consolidating as it moves towards the n. Unlike last night with the closer proximity we should start to see this bands move in across the coastal counties as the day progresses. While the overall totals might not be what was shown a few days ago, it won't take much to get a few sequences of band after band over the next 24-36 hrs to start adding up the totals in a few spots. Certainly the more implied risk is from Sargent and further s.
High tide in Surfside was already flooding the usual roadways this morning and I'm guessing they will close the beach soon enough.

Unless that batch of moisture in the gulf holds as it moved toward se texas, this is looking like a bust, at least not for the coastal counties though, what a shocker
, but at least the latest 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks look good for more precipitation, we will see

Some good news: The flood watch for inland Harris County, Liberty, Walker, Washington, and Austin Counties has been discontinued as highest rain amounts continue to look to stay south of us.

Yeah. While I love rain, I don't love flooding events. I lost my house, my cars and everything I own in Harvey. Epic rain possibilities make me nervous.Cpv17 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 1:44 pmI’m sure at some point this summer, y’all will get another 20-30” rain event.
