As I type this, very low clouds are in the Gulfgate area with thunder. All this is moving south, as some have alluded to

Well, we are in the Atascocita portion of Humble. Also, we are in the highest point of our subdivision. As of now, my wife is reporting everything is fine. I work in the Gulfgate area and yes, the rainfall rates are pretty hefty.
5 hour flight delay and counting now. And not a drop at home. Bullshit weather.
Rosharon. Once the line got near I-10 it kicked off an outflow and evaporated. Then reformed on the other side of my house. In the donut of nothing now.

Its pouring again here. These rainfall rates are high, im a little concerned that the MCS has stalled along the I-10 corridor. With more storms moving in from the west...
Well the rain is getting closer to me. Please hold together lol
So much for that. Had a job interview tomorrow and my GD flight was just cancelled.

You know I wouldnt mine a good month of dry weather now, everything is so waterlogged, i definitely dont need anymore rain after today for a while
You should move to west Texas, you live in the wrong area to not like rain LOL.SE Texas is literately the wettest part of the state. As i said a while ago don't let the dry years fool you into thinking that's normal around here.Heavy rain /flooding is a big part of the climatology of the area.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 1:15 pm You know I wouldnt mine a good month of dry weather now, everything is so waterlogged, i definitely dont need anymore rain after today for a while
My brand new vegetable garden, fruit trees, and landscaping are super happy this week....the only worry is the Texas mountain sage bushes I planted could drown.

Don its not that I dont like rain, I just would prefer to have it all spread out and not all at once, any how a dry period looks to be taking shaping after friday, good!
Doesn't seem like that to me. Literately every time it rains you complain about it.Even though we've had more than enough sunshine and dry days this season. You act like its not supposed to rain here, and whenever it does its a problem. We live in a humid subtropical climate...Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 2:13 pm Don its not that I dont like rain, I just would prefer to have it all spread out and not all at once, any how a dry period looks to be taking shaping after friday, good!
Honestly, I wouldn’t be so sure about much of a dry period coming anytime soon.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 2:13 pm Don its not that I dont like rain, I just would prefer to have it all spread out and not all at once, any how a dry period looks to be taking shaping after friday, good!
We had a lot of damage in our neighborhood. Several large trees uprooted.

Not a single drop and the radar is evaporating.
There’s a lot of trees down and several snapped trees so I’m gonna estimate gusts to hurricane force, 70-80mph. I didn’t see shingles down or anything like that, but several roads in Montgomery County were/are blocked by flood waters and downed trees. I couldn’t get to the nearest grocery store a couple of hours ago - I could probably make it now.
