Think we’re gonna have to wait till the end of the month and into February for any significant cold.

Ensembles have bought in. This will be a cold rain with wintry stuff in north Texas. It won't be a balmy spring rain.

I love big rains any time of the year but this summer I don’t see us having a big drought. The Gulf will be open for big business. As for wintry weather, I could see us getting some action later this month or Feb if the above normal precipitation anomalies persist.

Looks like things are going to get very active in Texas.Starting next week,as a low gets cutoff and blocked by a strong SE ridge.

16°F last night. It's a beautiful day. Brilliant sunshine and 23°F. Sublimation and sun have largely taken care of the snow and ice. I just saw a truck driving with icicles hanging down from the chassis.

Mets have to be on their toes in Arkansas. Storms and tornadoes formed in Oklahoma invade at night. Ice storms are more frequent and variation in the weather is the norm. With hilly terrain and modest sized mountains in nearly half the state rain that can come in a deluge, floods are common as well. Real winter weather come crashing down on areas of the state every year.

Props to our local Mets at KBTX. Their merging of the models was by far the most accurate. They stuck to a wintry mix on Sunday night and Monday, and somewhere between the Euro, NAM, and CMC on temps, predicting teens at night well before the event.
