brazoriatx Uh no, its not going to be a heat wave , those orange/ red colora can be misleading, temps in the 60’s for a couple of days, that thaw pattern does not last long, pattern resets and reloads, end of january into February looks cold

0Z HRRR has most of Harris County below freezing all day tomorrow. Looks like the peak of frozen precip in Houston will be sometime mid afternoon tomorrow. When it shows a disturbance increasing rainfall rates for a couple of hours with temps in the 20's.

Latest from Herzog:
8PM SUNDAY UPDATE: There is growing evidence tonight that the freeze line will come through most of Houston on MLK Day when light precipitation is still ongoing. If you venture out during the day, be prepared for the possibility that you might get stuck at your location or face a long drive home trying to navigate surface streets because highway bridges, overpasses, and flyovers may be frozen up. This FutureTrack video shows the location of the freeze line and precipitation. Pink is light freezing rain/drizzle. Total accumulations will still likely stay below 1/10", but only a light glaze can be dangerous. You don't want to get tangled up with black ice, so please keep tabs on road conditions if you have to venture out tomorrow!

30 here with a DP of 24, maybe some more moisture to work with? I have a feeling this event is going to over perform
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see anything on my radar, which is running in Clear Air mode…
