.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 308 PM CDT Mon Aug 21 2023
A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for most of southeast Texas
today. The lone exception is the coastal counties where a Fire
Weather Watch is in effect. There will be an increase in
relativel humidity levels on Tuesday, especially over our southern
counties. For this reason, only our northern counties are under a
Red Flag Warning for Tuesday where afternoon relatively humidity
values are forecast to be between 30-35%. Montgomery County
conditions are expected to be borderline Red Flag Warning worth.
However, we opted to place the county under a warning mostly due
to the dry conditions at Sam Houston National Forest. Winds in the
warned area are generally expected to peak in the 10-15 mph range
with higher gusts. Dry fueld remain in place. Burn bans remain in
effect for all Southeast Texas.
August 2023
Won't take much to set the tinder ablaze. Even a rogue lightning strike will cause some problems.
...and easterlies. It may not rain but E15 G25 with kind of tropical air sure feels nicer than yesterday.
Or about as good as Temp. 105°F Heat Index 108°F gets.

Every cell that has crossed over land has evaporated with the damned high pressure dome.
Going by what I see in Louisiana, there wouldn't be much even if the cells made it. Storms are too isolated and quick moving.
That said, lots of models showed activity here picking up more in the evening/overnight/early Tuesday period. We'll see what plays out the next few hours.
Hmmm, the GFS is wanting to bring some rain in here next week. Nice to see but I really don’t believe it.
OK, cinch bug experts - are these cinch bugs on my pool deck?

I was just thinking the same thing about the tease part lol kinda like this storm in the Gulf. Just a tease. I mean teasing is fun and all but I can only take so much of it. After a while, I want the whole thingStratton20 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:33 pm Cpv17 just another Tease from the GFS, those rain chances arent going to verify lol
Thanks - yes, I texted a family member who owns a pest control company in Tampa. He said they were a variety of Assassin Bugs that stink when they are killed, and to leave them alone. They prey on other bugs.
Rain chance (originally 40% after 8PM) now 30% chance after 4AM.
I see where this is going.
I see where this is going.
