You people are so nice. Back when I was a kid, I remember wishing my grandmother happy birthday and was always shocked by her lackadaisical response back. Now, I understand (LOL.)

What makes it all so special is surrounding yourself with friends. It makes it a special day indeed! Thanks everyone!

Dan would have been celebrating a milestone today (The Big 60) and this weekend with his friends. Time goes by, but I miss my old friend and still feel a huge void as I know many of you do as well. Happy Birthday wxdata!

Dan was and still is a major inspiration to this forum, the weather community, and to life overall. He has been a major contribution to this forum and has created what we have now. Without him, this forum would be a lot different and I know personally he has helped me a lot with the knowledge that I have now.
