August 2022
I was just about to say the line looks to be weakening. So unless tomorrow and Wednesday give us something decent, this multi day rain totaling 3-5” across the area will be a bust. Time will tell. We shall see… We’ll probably get passing sprinkles this evening and typical spotty showers tomorrow and Wednesday. Watch!

This wet wetter pattern is going to be around until possibly the first week of september, everyone will get an opportunity for rain at some point lol
You guys getting your rain in college station yet?
And I really think we need to be watching the tropics the last few days of this month and the first week of September. Judging by the latest CPC forecast it looks like they have ridging over the east coast and troughing over Texas. Anything that gets into the western Caribbean/Gulf could possibly be headed this way.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 5:57 pm This wet wetter pattern is going to be around until possibly the first week of september, everyone will get an opportunity for rain at some point lol
This line looks like weak sauce. How many busts can we strong along? Geez.

Cpv17 agreed, this type of pattern would create a weakness over texas
This! I get we are all frustrated and rightfully so. I’d rather have a day if 1/4-1/2” an hour rain rates than 10” in 8/9 hours. Gives the ground time to soak in, helps trees, plants, foundation, etc. all at once just runs offs into the low lying areas and freeways (see Dallas this morning).TexasBreeze wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 4:20 pm The morning band never really got going. It moved on. Hopefully everyone gets a couple inches, but I don't think anyone needs 10 inches around here real quick. It would be better to have a Friday type rain again. Slow and steady. There are rain chances far in the future which is a great thing!
Rain is most welcome.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 5:57 pm This wet wetter pattern is going to be around until possibly the first week of september, everyone will get an opportunity for rain at some point lol
Annnnd its dying out. But getting stronger south of Houston. Makes no sense. Strongest storms are now well in south Texas.

Somebody is getting a flood tonight
Splitting along I-45.
The Montgomery County forcefield strikes again.
Bigole Homer Simpson donut opening up nar Katy as the line splits in two.
There is new convection going-up north of Huntsville so there is some hope. Breezy here now. We’ll see what happens.
Christ. How did the mosquitoes already get so bad when we have only had rain like 3 days ago and not even a ton of it. I thought they took 7-10 days to hatch out and develop into biting MF's.
That line of lowers went through CS and is rebuilding.
We've been getting 0.5 in every day. Nice, steady ground soaking. No floods yet.
Sure beats our summer weather this year.
Houston and pretty much all of Harris County and points south and east aren't gonna get jack this evening. We'll see about Tuesday and Wednesday.
