I think most (if not all) of us are tired of getting hood-winked.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 12:18 pm Im sure the latest GFS might make a few folks happymedium-long range sure is looking great!!!
I'll believe it when I see wet stuff falling from the sky.
I don't even trust the radar anymore.

Until I see water splashing on my wet lawn, I don't believe anything.Pas_Bon wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 12:30 pmI think most (if not all) of us are tired of getting hood-winked.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 12:18 pm Im sure the latest GFS might make a few folks happymedium-long range sure is looking great!!!

Hey im just saying the pattern ahead looks good, didnt say anyone is guaranteed to see any rain though haha
Look at the lack of cumulus clouds downstream from the lakes and Galveston Bay. This has to be a factor in our local ‘dead zone.’

That feature is present everyday but the cloud-free zone changes according to wind direction. If winds are SW, the cloud-free zone is to the NE etc.

12z Nam runs interestingly try to develop a surface low off the Texas coast before moving in land at hour 84 fwiw, has some pretty heavy totals, but off shore though

Another day of frustration. Cells downstream from me just can’t sustain growth. Meanwhile, over towards Liberty, the continuous building-up of those cells into a complex continues unabated and with no effort.

You’ll probably get some rain Thursday or Friday. Hopefully.jasons2k wrote: ↑Tue Aug 09, 2022 2:59 pm Another day of frustration. Cells downstream from me just can’t sustain growth. Yeah was supposed to last Thursday or Friday too…
I hope we do but I’ll believe it when I see it.
Lucy is trolling me big time at the moment. Cells very close but anything headed this way want to keep collapsing.
Wispy cloud tops now. Poof, as usual.

A brief show at A&M. Not sure about home. Unlikely per radar.
Showers popping up all around me but nothing but a couple sprinkles at my house. Been hearing thunder off and on for over an hour now.
This means everything in today’s AFD:
IF…there’s that word again. If these trends do unfold
I can’t complain considering I’ve had an inch or so in the last two weeks. Barely at 10” on the year which is atrocious. Literally had big storms every direction and barley got spit on here. I’ll take the clouds though. Hope the rest of this week is better for all of us.
