February 2022
Latest GFS has me staying below freezing all day Friday.
Yep latest 0Z HRRR has a big chunk of the area at or below freezing all day Friday. It also is showing greater enhancement of precip from the upper level low passing to our north. And now shows sleet/freezing rain showers lasting most of Friday morning.

Dr. Jim literally just gave one of the worst forecasts I’ve ever heard and to think he’s probably making a six figure income. Joke.

That’s a good 12 hours of precip. Hopefully not freezing rain.walsean1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 10:07 pm This is from Justin Stapleton Ch 2

Guys, this front means business. I’m at our farm in Colorado County and I went from 72 at 4 and now sitting at 36. Models say I changeover at 10-11, but I’m thinking it’s off by a good 3-4 hours.

New NAM isn’t very impressive either. Almost shows nothing around here. Looks like a lot of models are showing the moisture drying up fairly quickly when it tries to move in tomorrow afternoon.

The gfs doesn't show much from the coastal disturbance either. Had more at 18z. Has a little band come through before it goes poof.

Channel 2’s Justin Stapleton just showed their futurecast and said if it holds we could be looking at snow bursts and sleet across Houston. Added we could start to see some “light accumulation” overnight Thursday into Friday morning with a “likely fairly messy commute” Friday morning.

GFS srill has some nasty freezinf rain/ sleet in my area, i dont see this moisture just going poof like that, but the coast chances of seeing wintry precip do look like they are decreasing
