That’s really encouraging for the Euro to be showing that. We all know how conservative it can be sometimes so for it to be showing that is a great sign.

Man it’s exciting stuff! It’s like I’m a kid in a candy store lol I’ll admit tracking winter weather and tracking hurricanes are both two of my favorite things to do and probably at the top of my list when it comes to the weather.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 1:02 am CPV17 yep! 12z GEFS, I am tossing the operational GFS in the trash can right now, the GEFS has been extremely consistent with this, plus the 12z CMC is still showing a wintry setup

either the gfs ensembles are smoking crack or the gfs operational is smoking crack I guess we'll find out here in the next couple days lol
The Canadian seems to be getting onboard with the first piece of energy next Thursday/Friday FWIW.One thing to note is that the GEFS are mainly producing a winter storm from the first system that moves in after the front which is what the Canadian is showing. The storm that the operational GFS and ICON are developing over the weekend is actually another system. If the first piece of energy ends up being the "main" storm system we would have a better chane of seeing a winter storm due to colder air being in place behind the front.
