6z GFS is showing the consistency for the winter weather just after New Years, it has trended warmer though.

The 12z models are definitely sniffing out a significant pattern change coming in the next 10 days, looks like the PNA may be heading towards a more neutral phase

I really hope we see some significant changes after these next 6/7 days. This weather is down right pathetic for the holidays. Even my little ones don’t want to go outside. My son has been asking what happened to winter LOL!

I know ita the CMC but this is pretty intriguing to see this considering 162 hours is only 7 days out or so

It’s pretty close to there. Probably more like Madisonville or Crockett.

Hope the models trend further south with the storm system, the further south the low digs the potential for some wintry mischief could increase

Yeah it would pull even colder temps further south with it.

The models are hinting at another front after this one. That’s the one that has bigger potential imo.

I always say that Mother Nature has a way of balancing itself out. Extreme warm temps are usually followed by extreme cold temps at some point.
