Well, the ladies and gentlemen at NWS Houston call it is a cold front. They have forgotten more than I know.

They lowered my rain chances down to 50%. It better rain because I put down winterizer yesterday anticipating a nice soaker.
This was never really supposed to be much of a rain event. I’m not sure why rain chances were so high to begin with. Consider yourself lucky if you get at least a half inch. I doubt most of us will even see one or two tenths but hopefully I’m wrong.

I hope I atleast get what I want for Christmas..looking like the cold weather isn't going to be one of them lol I know wxman57 is loving this!
Well they had me with a 90% chance of rain with a total accumulation of 1/2” - 3-4” with “isolated higher amounts” so I put down the granules.
I seriously may be running the sprinklers. This is weak sauce.
Wow. Looks like majority of us will get nothing more than a few sprinkles. Mets in Bmt were forecasting 1/2” or more. I guess 90% includes sprinkles only also. Lol

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
1217 PM CST Mon Dec 6 2021
.SHORT TERM [Today]...
Quick update with the front moving through Conroe and nearing
Houston Metro. Showers and thunderstorms should accompany the
front and also on a prefrontal feature closer to the coast. Cape
in the coastal areas approaching 2500j/kg so could get some robust
thunderstorms as the front catches up to the prefrontal trough
over the coastal counties and into the Gulf waters. Temperatures
falling abruptly about 15 degrees after the frontal passage.
Galveston and Angleton hit 81! That beats the old GLS record of 79
set in 1998/2019. Gusty winds behind the front 20-35mph should
drop back to 15 to 25 within an hour of passage.

&&
.AVIATION [18Z TAF Issuance]...

from IFR-MVFR with visby/cigs with storms. MVFR ceilings should
prevail post frontal through around 15-21z Tuesday (earlier up
north and lastly coast). SW winds becoming N G20-30kts with FROPA.
Overnight winds should be N/NE 8-12kts and then relax mid morning
Tuesday but definitely stronger near the coast.
