Re: Fire at Mulch Plant on Hwy 242

That guy makes big bucks. Has about the largest grinding plant around here. All my cleared lot trees etc go there for processing. Also, sells truckloads of mulch (about 16 yard trucks) delivered for like $340...

I guess I will go stick my head under the sprinkler. :D You must be north of me. I'm around 2854 and Honea Egypt.... I got a good 15 minute deluge here. Just topped off my ...

Re: May Weather Discussions. Building Meixco Ridge.

Isn't this at a really critical stage by this point??? I know that from a building standpoint too dry or too wet is horrible for house foundations. Also, without any rain on grass and even trees and shrubs that they can be lost fairly quickly and are rediculous to replace in terms of cost and labor....

Drought???

At this point, are we facing a bad drought unless we get heavy Jan and Feb rains?

Normally Houston is pretty wet about now, no?

Lake Conroe is down about 2' and that's odd for this time of year...

Re: TS Alex. 100 Miles WSW of Campeche. 45 MPH/991 MB

It'll do a head fake to the north and then hit north of Tampico, IMO. Hurricane sheild, ON. Cone is your friend. Troph to the north of us will poo poo and move on out, taking away that magnet effect and should let that sucker jam into mexico. I am not a forecaster, just somone with a laptop and 10 f...

Re: TS Alex. 100 Miles WSW of Campeche. 45 MPH/991 MB

This thing looks like it's almost on shore, on the coast of Mexico. I don't see how there's any way it can come north. Never say never but, never.... I'd not worry if I were a Houstonian. Maybe the next one. We'll probably eat some rain from it, probably it. I'm not even an amatuer so don't flame me...

Re: May Weather Discussion.

So when does this juicy air move on out (well, the rain at least)? Looks like end of the week shows clearing? Is there a small front or High that will push out this mess? I'm all for the rain but I'm pretty sure we've caught up in this area. I've got a building pad and some concrete to do this week....

Re: More Cold Air On The Way In Mid/Late February For TX/OK/LA?

Should I trust NOAA's site for the forecast for this Friday-Sunday?

I can't believe I'm seeing low 70's for highs. Barf (we like cooool weather for camping).

Rocksprings is about 1700' alt so it tends to be a bit cooler....

Any hints on that period?

Re: More Cold Air On The Way In Mid/Late February For TX/OK/LA?

Hey model readers!! I'm all over the forecast sites, NOAA, Accuweather, and Weather Chan. Can you give me an indication of the weather in Rocksprings, TX starting Thursday until Sunday? I watch here and have noticed that these sites tend to be way off on temps, and precip too. Any help you can give ...
