agree with Mr. T -- more unstable air mass over deep south Texas....thus SPC placing slight risk over that area where thunderstoms didn't work over the atmosphere

slight weakening as the leading edge slowly propogates SE'ward....we'll have to see if it can hold together. Maybe I was being too optimistic

latest RUC mesoanalysis indicates over 2000 J/KG mixed layer CAPE with virtually no capping in place. MCS strengthened after crossing the I-35 corrider as it interacted with the seabreeze. See no reason to believe this things weakens as mature cold pool interacts with moist (PW >1.8 inches) relative...

Will be interesting to see how much of the white stuff falls across the metroplex. 4km WRF keep the bulk of the precip south of I-20....although the NAM shows a heavier band of snow just to the north and west of DFW.

the new NAM is slightly cooler.....going to get real tricky around the lukin area. forecast soundings are right on the rain/snow threshold for them.

I was looking at the nyc metro area and they are getting pounded right now.....coastal low bombing off the coast. What exactly is a trowal wxman57? Warm air wrapping into the low? I've heard this term a lot lately......
