I don't think the greater Houston area will see anything in the way of freezing rain. I think the precip will end before the temperature drops below 32. The NWS put that mention of freezing rain just in case the precip lasts longer than expected.skidog38 wrote:NWS has freezing rain from 2-5 for houston

I like to watch it on the wunderground site:srainhoutx wrote:Front has passed New Ulm and Bellville. Approaching Brenham at this time...
I sure hope so, ticka1...ticka1 wrote:Rain or no rain/freezing rain - its going to be COLD again.
So will we start our spring after this cold blast or will we will more colder weather at the end of February/beginning of March?
How much did your temps drop with the frontal passage?srainhoutx wrote:Front just passed my location in NW Harris County.
Not much at all (1-2 degrees). Colder air is lagging behind just a bit. Brenham is in the upper 20's/low 30's. Hempstead has dropped to the upper 30's as well, so it's marching SE.ticka1 wrote:How much did your temps drop with the frontal passage?srainhoutx wrote:Front just passed my location in NW Harris County.
It must've passed through Cypress then too. I don't get off work until about 2...so I'm a little worried. What do y'all think?srainhoutx wrote:Not much at all (1-2 degrees). Me too. Gonna be keeping a close eye on things...tireman4 wrote:Just my humble opinion, but I am thinking (hoping..LOL) that we will be ok. I am not seeing the moisture from the wrap around and the wind should dry things out for rush hour traffic. I am just hoping.
