Ligh frozen drizzle in Port Lavaca. Everything has a nice "donut glaze" on it.
The Weather Channel app on my iphone says "wintery mix" is falling here now.

Far southwest Houston. Boundaries are highway 90 on the south, Hillcroft on the east, Fondren on the west and West Bellfort on the north.ajurcat wrote:Can you tell us your location?sm040480 wrote:Intensity picking up. What were tiny grains infrequently are now becoming larger and coming down, or should I say blowing sideways, at a nice clip. Air feels wet wet wet. Sweet!

Light drizzle falling in Galleria area. Hopefully this will help cool things down and prepare the air column for some snow later on.

Still dry as a bone here in Pasadena...
Hopeful.
Hopeful.
Really starting to look like US 59 from Wharton to downtown and 20 miles either side is going to be one location that is going to get some higher totals. Constant banding in this region
Steady light freezing drizzle/flurries here at the house. Not enough to take pics of yet though. 29f now so the temp is dropping.
If you look at the radar on KHOU it shows a lot on the moisture, it is South West of 290 going North East towards Tomball, could that be good banding, could it be anything?

Jeff, which radar would you suggest we use to best see the banding?jeff wrote:Really starting to look like US 59 from Wharton to downtown and 20 miles either side is going to be one location that is going to get some higher totals. Constant banding in this region
where is jeff - haven't heard from him in awhile?
how long is this suppose to last - will it be an all night event with eventual accumulations?

temperature dropping pretty fast while humidity is going up
will any more than this form because it would be nice to see some heavier stuff like what is happening in central texasjeff wrote:Really starting to look like US 59 from Wharton to downtown and 20 miles either side is going to be one location that is going to get some higher totals.
