Some of those temps are already off the scale. They would literally have to make a new color and add 33°C to keep up. Under ideal conditions, you could get a 200mph storm with sub 900mb in there with those types of waters.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 10:52 pm Just jaw dropping to see those temps, someones going to get rocked along the gulf coast
Let’s pray that does not happen.Cpv17 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 11:00 pmSome of those temps are already off the scale. They would literally have to make a new color and add 33°C to keep up. It’s pretty weak on the Euro but being that the Euro actually has something to even begin with is interesting because it’s usually conservative. It does kinda look like it could just cross over into the EPAC instead of go towards the Gulf on that run, though. Maybe something to watch. I’m more interested in seeing the 12z EPS. Way more interested, actually.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 2:21 pm Very interesting 12z Euro run, caribbean cruiser strengthening into a tropical storm and approaching the Yucatan channel, weakness in ridge over texas…
Bruh the EPS is literally trying to turn everything north as soon as it forms. It has a gazillion fish storms.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 2:47 pm Cpv17 ive been noticing the EPS keeps trying to recurve this, not sure I buy it given it looks like the bermuda high will be strengthening
I haven’t seen it yet. The 12z EPS doesn’t usually finish running till about 5pm isshhh on Tropical Tidbits. Weather Nerds is ok but I prefer TT.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 3:10 pm Cpv17 12z EPS, … less members recurving now, and even a strong signal at hour 192-216 for something else in the gulf
Gotcha. Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s a paid site. I’ll pass lolStratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 3:43 pm Cpv17 I use weatherbell, but its definitely trended towards less recurving, more members south of the islands continuing west in caribbean
What does that mean?Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 8:18 pm Yikes im seeing a few 33 celcius readings starting to show up in the gulf thats about 91-92 degrees
Scott knows what it means. He has years upon years of experience with hurricanes. Probably knows more than anyone on this board about the tropics. I believe he’s just jacking with ya.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 10:04 pm Scott747 Just more fuel for a storm to work with, still incredible to see the gulf is still warming, 33 celsius is something else
