Storms firing in the metro from the outflow boundary.I think the heat island effect and proximity to Galveston Bay help for storms to sometimes focus/form over the city.Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Harris county.

Damn this is the strongest storm Ive seen all year! the winds are INTENSE.Rainfall rates have to be 3-4 inches an hour right now.

181,000 customers without power right now.My power is still on thankfully.Winds up to 70mph indicated by radar.This was a REAL severe thunderstorm, strongest storm I've seen maybe in the last few years.

Only .63" in W League City with 40-45MPH gusts. Lots of lightening and impressive clouds with the initial outflow.
