Here's all you ever wanted to know about Hurricane Jerry. Check out the radar and satellite imagery of the day. Hilarious. Also, notice how blase they are. There very little urgency....something that would not be seen today. Now-a-days, we'd have wall to wall coverage. Amazing how things have changed since 1989.

Ah yes, Hurricane Jerry.
I was beginning my Junior year in High School.
(lived in Texas City).
The day before Jerry, was my first time to surf.
Wow...
When Jerry was passing through, we were drinking Long Island Tea's in lawn chairs in the front yard.
Good Times.
I'll click the links at work.

Jerry was a tiny hurricane. Very little impact across the Houston area.

My experience with Jerry was rather interesting. Those of us that lived and worked on the east side of town will remember that Sunday evening/night rather well. I was forutnate enough to be in a position at work to be in the eye of Jerry around 10:30 -11:00PM. Jerry was a fast mover as well.

I went through Jerry - while living in Highlands. Tiny hurricane that was fast moving...but did enough damage (blew the carport off at my grandparents house). Watched it blow thru out the windows. Remember folks on the west side and NW side of Houston receiving nothing from Jerry.

I remember Jerry. It was a small hurricane. We got nothing out of this storm. Just some clouds and wind. It reminds me of Humberto.
