Ya but south of i-10 gets nada..we need all of south east Texas to get some
It needs to dig further south and deepen for us to get anything. It’s still possible here, but I’m not sure about Freeport. I doubt it tbh.

My personal experience with winter weather here in southeast Texas bodes well for us. If we’re already talking about a chance of snow this far out, I would believe our chances would only go up from here.

Yep I've noticed the same over the years. Usually in this range the snow line gradually moves further south as we get closer to the storm, as models tend to underestimate the strength and speed of cold air advection into the area. BTW 18z GFS and ICON took a step in the right direction, with the GFS showing a more suppressed Gulf low.

Depends on temps. Could just be rain by the time it gets there.

The GFS always does this. Hold the line for awhile...

The potential for Winter precipitation is always a challenging time especially from Houston and S and SE to the coast. My first decent snowfall was in Pearland 1973 when I was 5 years old. Looking back it was similar to the Dec 2017 snowfall. The most epic as many of us know is the 2004 Christmas Eve snowfall. Watching the models change and awaiting the perfect conditions to occur is exhausting but the reward is awesome if it occurs. Hoping y'all get some snow N of I-10 and enjoy for us down here along the coast.

I’ll never forget that day. I remember exactly where I was when it first started snowing and how happy I was. That was definitely one of the best days of my life.
