I had a feeling this storm meant business when she went right over the shredder (Hispaniola) and it didn’t break her up.

Some people have to have a pretty good setup in their mom's basement to troll a weather board.

Ignore comments like the ones that were made. I have removed the post. Comments like that to do not belong on here for those who have suffered from previous storms.

I had not seen that. Thank you Blake. I agree. This board is for information and education, not to disparage.

Cameron in Cameron Parish is a small town along a waterway. Looks like the surge and winds will wipe them out. Lake Charles is ground zero for an eyewall passage too further inland. Man oh man...

Thank you Blake. Yes this is teamwork and no hype as we work together to keep everyone weather aware when events occur in our area. We are family.

I suspect Laura will be talked about along with other infamous hurricanes like 1900 Galveston, 1915 Galveston, 1926 Miami, Audrey, Betsy, Camille, David, Fredrick, Alicia, Hugo, Andrew, Ivan, Katrina, Rita, Wilma, Ike, Sandy, Harvey, Irma, Maria, Michael, Dorian, and Imelda. :(

Scott - you might want to relay this to Josh if he decides he needs to get back to Orange...
Texas Department of Transportation has shut down I-10 between Texas and Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Laura’s landfall.
