I thought the same thing - at first I thought the atmo was too worked over for another slam - but then that SUN popped out....

It’s only 67 here but the storms NW of here have new warnings out. I’m a bit surprised to be honest. That’s an indication of some serious cold air aloft.

There are quick drive through cells. Just had 10 minutes of rain. Another cell is on its heels. So much for a walk/run with the dog.

The gusts peaked at 55 mph evidently here in Round 1.

I’m at .88 when with even more to the NW.

I think my actual total is higher because the rain was blowing sideways..

Because of training we ended up with 5 waves of storms on Lake Conroe today. Thankfully no hail, just 1.5" of rain and some great light shows.

And now maybe a 6th wave for us is popping up in a Conroe-Austin-Waco triangle. Already a severe warning on the Rockdale-Georgetown line that seemingly formed out of nothing in just a few minutes.

That's actually the end of the GFS run that is 384 hrs, 16 days away.

Nothing at this point to be concerned about.

I wouldn’t even consider worrying about anything the models are showing past one week out.
