Here are some satellite images of Tropical Storm Claudette from 1979.

Quite a large storm.

Couldn't find any images of Claudette on those two links, but there is a site with great movies of past storms:

You may need to first download the .MPG file and then play it with Windows Media Player. To do that, right click on the link and choose save target as or save link as.
