srainhoutx wrote:LOL Kludge. Freezing line is advancing into College Station at this time and already freezing in Caldwell. Temp down to 47F in NW Harris County at this time and falling. I smell a Winter Weather Advisory coming before too long from HGX. Oh, and if the Euro is correct we may be doing this all over again next weekend as yet another powerful Winter Storm develops across Texas... ;)
31 here now, with liquid still falling (that's the good news)

I WON'T be doing this again next weekend. I am now tuning my channel to the Spring thread, and will meet you all over there when you come to your senses and realize that the only way to kill this (overstayed its welcome) winter is to stop talking about it.

Back in a bit...I'm heading out to prune my azaleas....

Wait until after azaleas bloom to prune. They are setting flower buds now.

Still a swirly mist and warm. No wind yet.

Northern counties need to keep an eye on the thin line of showers SE of waco. Temps are below freezing in those areas.

You really think HGX will issue a winter advisory? It's down to 41 at my house in Sugar Land (about a mile west of the airport) and it drizzling. The wind is howling.

I see that Winter Weather Advisories are to the north of us. Not sure what to think. I would say no, but again, I am not a professional.

The 21Z SPC SREF continues to advertise freezing rain/sleet and possibly a snow flurry or two overnight before the precip ends. It is also noteworthy the the SREF is suggesting an expanded area freezing rain across all of Central Texas and Northern areas of SE Texas overnight tomorrow night into early Tuesday. Each run has expanded the aeral coverage of the potential event for tomorrow night. We will see if that trend continues.
