KHOU Board Facebook Update

Hey everyone, I wanted to update y'all on what we are doing with Facebook. As the social network community becomes more dominate in our everyday lives we decided to update the Facebook Page. What we did, was we created a new page that you "like" instead of adding as a friend. It will allow for easier updating and a better connection with the community. We will keep the old account around for now but eventually we hope to transition the whole Facebook page to the new one. We have also linked our new Facebook page to our twitter page, @KhouForums for those that follow twitter. Our twitter feeds are linked to the KHOU Weather Team as well. We continue to make improvements and upgrades in all aspects of our social media outreach and the response has been awesome. As the KHOU Weather Forum Community grows and expands across our Region, we recognize the importance of making these changes and utilizing every tool available to get the word out in the event of severe weather events as well as the importance of all these tools as Hurricane Season 2013 approaches.
