Wow. Michael looks quite beautiful right now. Very symmetrical eye. Impressive burst of intensification tonight. He might make it to major status, which was nowhere near the initial forecast.

Initially, NHC forecasted Michael to weaken to a tropical depression in several days. Now, it could be a major hurricane due to its small size.

You will need to change the title of this thread, rnmm, slightly since Michael has strengthened to hurricane status. It also has an eye though its sister, Leslie, seems to be pushing it away.

boom goes the dynamite. Michael now CAT 2 with 105mph sustained winds. :shock:
