No surprises. Looks like a very active season. He's predicting 15 named storms and 8 hurricanes, 4 of which may be Category 3-4-5.. But just remember that Ike wasn't a "major hurricane" at landfall.

whew, I thought he was going to go over that...I am at 14/8/3 so close enough..

..
..We are going to have some big ones this year I an afraid. Ike was no major and look at the wind damage and power outages. 5 days for me and my power is underground. If any good news is IF we were to get a major alot of trees have been pruned back or cut down during Ike. Maybe less power outages but probably more roof damage. If you still have a blue tarp on your roof, well you are not in a good position right now IF we were to have one blow through...
PT, I am still waiting on my strongest hurricane to hit Galveston/Houston with sustained winds inland above 74mph....having a hard time with this one?
WXMN57- look forward to Phil speaking at the upcoming engagement in May...

Of the analogs they have 1998 is the one I like the most but without any direct hit like Georges did here in Puerto Rico.

I think you may well get to share in some of the "hurricane fun" this year, cycloneye. Direct hits there are rare, though.

Thanks Paul. I was hoping wxman57 would foot the bill since he stated on Weather Man's Day he did not need the money.

Sounds about what I predicted. I expect changes though.
