November: Cool & Dry To End The Month
I hope thunderstorms start to fire up along that line because as of now the line looks extremely disappointing

For what it's worth, the 12Z WRF suggests a squall line moving into northern areas of SE TX after a bit of a lull around mid day/afternoon...

Wow! After last nights radar returns, things do not look nearly as impressive right now. At the moment, the rainfall across Texas, for the most part, is a broken up mess. We'll see if our "line of storms" gets its act together over our area as the front moves through. More in a bit. Just woke up. LOL

If only the pattern wasn't so progressive. The GFS has the brunt of the air mass moving east before it even gets a chance to settle in. Though, the GFS is infamous for being too quick with cold air masses.

Getting off and on showers, peeks of sun in between here in Cypress. Very warm and muggy too. Watching HGX Doppler...looks like the convective activity is increasing slightly and getting a little more intense in some areas. Have SPC, HGX and this forum all opened in tabs.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
1152 AM CST TUE NOV 8 2011
.AVIATION...
DIFFICULT FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. A SPECIAL
SOUNDING FROM TEXAS A AND M AT 15Z SHOWED A DECENT INVERSION
LOCATED AT ABOUT 790 MB. THE MODELS STILL ERODE THE CAP IN ADVANCE
OF THE FRONT. THINK THAT THE BEST ENERGY WILL BE FURTHER TO THE
NORTH CLOSER TO THE UPPER LOW AND THAT THERE WILL BE MAINLY
SHOWERS DEVELOPING UNDER THE CAP. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE THAT A
STORM WILL BREAK THE CAP. THERE WAS STILL ENOUGH OF A SURFACE
PRESSURE GRADIENT THAT BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH
21Z. THE PRESSURE GRADIENT THEN RELAXES AHEAD OF THE FRONT.
DECIDED TO GO MORE ALONG WITH THE NAM TIMING OF THE FRONT. WINDS
BEHIND THE FRONT DO NOT PICK UP UNTIL WEDNESDAY MORNING.

Lots of rain and thunder in my neck of the woods way in advance of the actually front. I'm thinking we are good with a decent squall line pushing through later on this afternoon as it approaches the area.
When will the cooler temps reach the Baytown area with this front?
Tornado Warning active for NE Harris County. SPC coordinating with HGX on Tornado Watch. Don't have time to post the link. Would one of y'all be so kind?
