As for a strong La Nina ... I dunno Ed. As you know the official forecast is for ENSO neutral conditions through most of the summer but a growing number of models are showing a return to La Nina. Jury's still out on just how strong it might get. But southern runners are fine by me.

Hey Porta, yeah bro I am psyche this year!!...plenty to track all season... I feel it....I will be on 2k soon. Just came out of hibernation... :D

DT with wxrisk.com has issued his summer 2010/hurricane forecast. He is customarily conservative on his forecasts so this forecast is quite troubling, especially his mention of storms being steered into the GOM. See link: http://1664596.sites.myregisteredsite.c ... ER2010.htm

that is disturbing.....he is however basing his forecast on less SAL and shear. Really no way to predict SAL...he is right about sst's. IMO, though there is no way to predict landfall in one area or another this far out....pointless..
