Hurricane hunters have found a pressure of 962 mb! Thats much stronger than what i thought, 4 pm update had this at 974 mb, and that would mean even the hurricane models are too weak
Beryl is workin' it.
She's headed WNW (not West) and a potential direct hit on Cozumel.

Beryl is strengthening again, and rather quickly. Our friends over in Biloxi are reporting a 12 milibar drop in pressure since the last RECON mission left.

Beryl is determined.. You all know you can't kill Gulfzilla. It's coming. Everyone from Corpus to Galveston should really keep up with updates. I see no reason to not suggest a more northward path at landfall, not unless something drastic happens.
"There will be Rain."

Beryl will not take no for an answer.

I am not surprised that Beryl is Category 3 again.
Big news too is that she’s slowing down in speed. Down to 16mph now. That could allow her to get stronger as well.
It seems like hurricane move faster in the tropics and closer to the polar areas. They move slower in subtropical areas.Stratton20 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 5:42 pm 18z GEFS is in, while I dont see a stall, i dont like how some of the members are a little bit more slower to clear beryl out of texas, something to watch

The trend is not our friend.
Earlier today, the ICON was showing the Galveston area as a landfall area. Maybe it was onto something then, and these runs are sensing it?
Cone shifted slightly again, Galveston now on the eastern edge.
