341 PM CST Tue Feb 3 2026

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CST FOR WEST CENTRAL LIBERTY COUNTY...

At 341 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Cleveland, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Liberty County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

420 PM CST Tue Feb 3 2026

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY THROUGH 445 PM CST...

At 419 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a landspout near Chateau Woods, or near Spring, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include... Porter Heights and New Caney.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

GEM and Euro are in general agreement. It's a ways off.

I'm trying to decide if it is over. I actually started tomato and vegetable seedlings for the first time and may have been a bit early.
