Ted Cruz boarding a plane is the real barometer.
I keep losing my usernames. Formerly vertigoss/seanatsk.

Survived Ike in Katy, Harvey in Dickinson and Allison in my car.

16 drops were dropped into the system. The data should be ingested into the 0Z GFS and NAM models

Eric seems to be a good guy. I can’t stand Matt, personally.
I don't know about the tropics, the way they handled Beryl was terrible...
This board was far more accurate about Beryl.

SCW and HGX convinced TAMU to hold classes in 4 hours of 40+ mph sustained winds and inches of rain during Beryl. I held my class online.

Nobody asked me, but I teach history. Lol. I am waiting on the GFS and NAM with ingested data from the drops. I have heard it increases the accuracy 10 to 20 percent.

Just in from Hurricane Hunter Jeremy DeHart.

0z runs so far are concerning especially in E Texas into Louisiana. Some of it is historic levels of icing.

GFS will certainly be interesting for our immediate area with the extra data from recon.

I noticed the gfs doesn’t go below freezing almost the whole time precip is rolling through.

Wait for the more reliable high res to come in range. Won’t be too much longer.

It does for a lot of us.

And it’s probably 3-4 degrees too warm
