We peaked at a 3 inch/hour rate. Could be another couple hours of 2+ inches/hour.

Update: 4.07 inches of rain so far IMFY.

Future cast shows the southern flank of that fizzling about the time it gets to Fort Bend county.

That cell west of us is getting serious and moving SE

Tornado Warning issued May 16 at 4:50PM CDT until May 16 at 5:15PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 450 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 8 miles southeast of Giddings, moving southeast at 60
mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include...
Round Top, Carmine, Warda, Walhalla, Willow Springs, Warrenton,
Winedale, Ledbetter, Nechanitz, and Waldeck.
Instructions
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest
floor of a building.

The National Weather Service in League City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Brazos County in southeastern Texas...
West Central Grimes County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 715 PM CDT.

* At 514 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
College Station, Bryan, Kyle Field and Wellborn.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

was located near Waller, or 8 miles southeast of Prairie View, moving
east at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

Very concerned with the embedded hook echo moving into Cyfair. A tornado may be on the ground based on velocity...

The tornado warning AND severe thunderstorm warning now expanded into inner city Houston.HGX mentioning winds of up to 80MPH are possible.I don't recall being under two different warniings at the same time.
