The shear and dry air is pretty incredible. The dry air is being persistent too, just not going anywhere.

It really is.. looking at RGB on the satellite, it does appear to be trying to wrap itself together but that dry air is winning so far.

You see that dry air wrapping into Cindy on the WV this evening and the shearing continues.

All that moisture better get on over to Texas. I'm going to be pissed if I have to bring out my sprinklers.

I'm having that bust panic feeling now as well. Only in Texas can fear of flood flip to fear of drought and vice versa in a nanosecond.

Regardless of a direct hit or not, I don't think drought is in the cards. Our daily chances for Thunderstorms after Cindy are ever present and while they may be hit and miss... I'm hoping they are more of a hit than a miss if ya know what I mean!!! Not to mention it's early in Hurricane season as well....lots more to come from the tropics this year I fear.

I've been watching the radar all day, looks like less in the GOM now. Looks like it is just pushing up North. But I'm not an expert by any means. Just been watching the radar all day and reading here.

I think a lot of people here may be getting tricked by the multiple vorticities rotating around each other. Models have predicted this trend would continue until tomorrow morning. This system is still rather elongated. Still looks like landfall just east of Galveston is likely.

Yep. Gearing up to be hot, humid, and without rain tomorrow I'm starting to think. Best chance for rain in a while and it's all getting blown east.

Yes, indeed. I can see multiple vortices still swirling around a large gyre, or larger circulation. The gyre is really a slow and steady NW.
