February 2025
Don had a low of 8° and windchill of -12°F. Congrats! I assume all pipes are covered.
TBF, I was out when it was 5°F in CLL (2021) with our dog. Mush! Of course, we had snow, ice, no school/work.
Temps at my house in Fairfield continue to fall way over performing from the forecast. We are at 28.4 now. My parents out in Cat Spring got down to 23.7 and have risen to 25 now.
Brrrr… I doubt we reach 47 in Beaumont for a high today. Temps still dropping. Currently 37.

Yeah, down to 29.6. No way it’s hitting 48 here today.
Currently 36 in Alvin/League City area.
Yes they are

29.2 at 11am. Pretty potent front for sure.

I think we may need to watch friday- friday night for the potential to see some freezing rain in se texas, the NAM, Extended RAP and WRF models are all showing freezing rain starting to break out from the hill country to parts of houston with temperatures hovering around 29-30 in the metro , worth watching given how this front came in much colder than expected and even 4-5 degrees colder than the short range guidance, could have pretty big implications on what happens with precipitation types on friday
Had ice on a walking bridge during my run at woodlands waterway 9am this am
Probably from the lake.

Currently 26 degrees here at the house near Lake Conroe with a wind chill of 14. I've been running around in a short sleeve shirt today while out doing errands. Not giving in....
Layers and a nylon covering/layer cut out wind pretty easily. But then I've lived in NC and outside Chicago.
There was plenty of advection on day 1 in Feb 2021.
There are only so many clothes to remove in 100°F+ weather and 70°F+ DP.
Light snow and freezing rain sighted in College Station this morning. We're still at 25°F at the airport and 25°F IMFY.
